C.enne.V was launched in 2005 by its founder, Cheyenne Valenzuela, as an answer to questions she
had been mulling for quite some time… if 50% of American women are size 14 and up, why are there
so few options out there? And why do designers cater to the pint-size market when the plus-size
market is where it’s at? And please tell me why I am expected to hide my body behind an ill-fitting
sheath? Thick is sexy, everybody knows it.
After adding 70 pounds over the course of 4 years to her already statuesque frame, it became clear that those 12’s and 14’s that fit her so well a while back weren’t quite doing the trick anymore. Shopping for a replacement wardrobe was a discouraging experience and she became increasingly
frustrated by the lack of options available. Stylish, high quality clothing was difficult to find, if not
impossible - so she took it upon herself to create a line that served her needs. Cheyenne personally
knows the trials and tribulations associated with finding plus-size clothing, especially clothes that fit
well and look good. And she personally knows that bigger girls are just as interested in looking hot as
their smaller counterparts. She also knows that all women deserve to feel good in what they wear, no
matter what size they are. C.enne.V is the answer to these truths and the age-old adage “I have
nothing to wear”.
